Coral and Floral

Yesterday, I re-entered the fabulous world of DC blogging that I missed Oooooo so much and attended the CapFABB June meet up. The monthly blogger haven was held at American Ice Co, a hidden gem on V street. I was so proud that I was finally ON TIME and not "fashionably late" for one of these awesome events. Since we had some time to spare before the fashion gab and the frequent statements of "i die" and "i love that" began, Saade and I shared a platter of vegetarian nachos. They were to DIE FOR!!! The picture does no justice. But anyway, as usual the lady and gent bloggers came out decked in their finest and really confused the bar's "hipster" regulars. Swap Till You Drop

As ya'll can probably tell, I've been MIA since the end of April. I was preparing to vend at the Dewdrop Spring Swap and Shop. If you didn't make it to the last, your in luck. Dewdrop is having a summer swap dubbed the Tangerine Tango Swap. The swap is going down this Saturday, June 30th from 1:00 - 4:00pm at Vapiano's in Bethesda. So here's what you have to do

Books, Tassels, and Vintage Withdraw

HEY YA'LL!!! HAVE YOU MISSED ME???

It has been 2 months since I last blogged and I have been experiencing some serious fashion withdraw. I know I've been MIA a little longer than usual this time but for a good reason I promise. I finally graduated from college last month and finishing up my undergraduate career strong meant putting my addictive love of vintage fashion aside to focus on school. Good news is that my absence meant that I successfully received my bachelor's degree in Health Administration and Policy with a concentration in Public Health from the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC). This month, I started graduate school and I must say this higher education stuff is no joke. With weekly papers and hundreds of pages in readings, I have had no time to bond with the fashion community.

Even though I have a few weeks of class left for the summer I've decided that enough is enough. So Elan Renegade Vintage is back with your regular vintage fashion digest. Get ready for the usual runway shows, awesome designers, ootd looks, and fashion must haves mixed with my personal vintage style. For now, here's what I've been up to.

College Grad!!!

On my graduation day I wore a teal and navy striped Silence and Noise silk dress under my cap and gown and paired it with these awesome pink Steve Madden sandals that I borrowed from my sister

The love of my life and I were pretty flashy at my lovely friend Amanda's graduation celebration. I wore a silver pleated two tier dress from Akira Chicago and paired it with my red suede platform pumps and a bold red lip color. The boy wore his favorite H&M vest with a thrifted shirt and bowtie.

Ending the semester with a night out didn't hurt. Naomi, Heidi and I were ready to hit the town. I wore a ruched blush colored H&M skirt, a simple white tank, and a teal blazer with black trim.

Some of my gorgeous sorors came to celebrate with me at my graduation soiree. Look how colorful we are. I wore a vintage floral high low dress with turquoise and tan strappy wedges.

Jessica and I rocked our vintage inspired fascinators at a tea party. I wore a coral colored dress and my favorite teal blazer with a gold vintage necklace.

Spring Swap & Shop

My neglect for you my dear readers will be over soon...I promise!

This post will be short but well worth your time if you love fashion and saving money as much as I do.

For the last few weeks I've been juggling the end of the semester, work, and preparing for an event I'm participating in on Saturday. Since you haven't seen my face in any posts lately you might was well come by the Dewdrop Spring Swap and Shop. Its going down on Saturday, April 21st from 12-3pm. Come on out to the Hilton in Arlington, VA.

Drop off your items between 12:00 - 1:30. Tickets are only $10.00 if you bring at least 5 items to swap. Bring as many pieces as you want though because leftover items will be donated.

I haven't even gotten to the best part yet. Before and after the swap, a pop-up shop will be in the building featuring fabulous local brands including... (**drum roll**) ELAN RENEGADE VINTAGE!!! Come and check us out to add some accessories and other fab pieces to your new spring wardrobe.

Floral Temptress

This is by far one of my favorite looks. I love the spring and this is the epitome of the season. I decided to wear this on my mom's birthday when DC was experiencing some serious weather indecisiveness. I was feeling kind of SEXAY but thought I should keep my vivacious mood under wraps around my lovely parentals. Before my mom's birthday dinner we went to support my dad at his middle-age basketball league game. When we entered the gym my dad told me I needed to button up my blazer and "stop tempting folks out here." I proceeded to sulk into the corner of the bleachers and attempted to to cover my racy, lacy top. So this post is to my daddy who reprimanded me for being a "floral temptress".
