Working Girl Blues

Lately I've been working really hard. Between school, work, the etsy shop, and this blog, life has become overwhelming yet rewarding. I was super excited when I finally got a break. The boy and I went to the networking happy hour that I covered in my last post here and had a BLAST!!! We started the night at Zola in Chinatown where we chatted with DC's finest young professionals. After making a quick pit stop at Public Bar in Tenleytown on 18th we ended the night at Ozio right around the corner on M street. Since this was an after work trip I styled this awesome vintage dress with my new blue suede shoes. Check it out below.

Dialogue in the District

What do you get when you put a group of young DC professionals in the same room? A rather fabulous event of course. On Tuesday, the boy and I ventured out to Zola Restaurant in the heart of Chinatown to gab with other DC professionals during the March Edition of "Dialogue in the District". We met individuals from all professions who were stylish as usual. The lawyers, educators, and leaders in the room were rocking their fabulous work place looks. Check out some of the shots the boy (aka my amateur photographer) took during this awesome networking event.

Minty Sunday Brunch

Almost a month ago I went to the Spicy Candy and One Medical cosponsored brunch. The complimentary food and drinks were fabulous and as usual I met a few new fashionable blogger friends. Since I spent most of my time scarfing down healthy omelets and chatting with the gorgeous gals in attendance I didn't snap any shots at the event. Instead, Nikki and I decided to do some outfit post shots near the venue. Since it was such a fabulous Sunday afternoon despite the enormous winds, I opted for this gorgeous vintage dress. I've been dying to wear this mint green, deep v-neck number with sheer flowy chiffon overlay.

Me, You, and "Miu Miu"

Attending fashion week in Europe is a dream for so many stylish gals. Seated in the front row of a gorgeous runway presentation in Paris, London, or Milan isn't really the reality for most of us though. I, like many others settle for sneak peaks of the seasons newest fashions by stalking the tweets of the head honchos in the game. A few days ago, I saw a tweet from Joe Zee, creative director of Elle Magazine, that made my day. He expressed his excitement at the Autumn/Winter 2012-2013 Miu Miu show during London Fashion Week. His tweet included the words "70's inspired pant suits" and that was enough to put my vintage obsession in gear. I scoured the web in search of these awesome looks and found the images from the runway presentation during Paris Fashion Week. Close enough. Since I'm utterly IN LOVE take a look at what I describe as heaven (the clothes) on a plank (the runway).
